Here comes the... bridemaids

Now everyone is different, but me personally I couldn't ask my bridesmaids to buy an overpriced dress that they would probably never wear again. So, to alleviate this problem from my wedding, I simply found dresses that I liked and bought them myself. Now at $150 bucks a pop you're thinking whoa whoa whoa... right? Well, how about $14.99 a piece, sound a little better? I had four bridesmaids in my wedding party. I got the pictured dress for $15 dollars a piece, and the girls looked stunning. I got my maid of honor an all pink dress that was a little different and bang a wedding party for around $100 dollars. Now, you don't necessarily have to buy the dresses, let the girls buy them. But at least you are not asking them to buy some outrageously expensive frock that will sit in their closet for the next 5 years or until it end up at the goodwill. They may never wear the dress again either, but they won't have to work overtime just to be able to afford it. w I mean weddings are already expensive to be in, the shower gift, the bachlorette party gift, the wedding gift and all the other expensese that weddings entail.
Best Spots- the best spots that I found matching dresses is at the discount/liquidation stores e.g Ross, Marshalls, and T.J Maxx (where I ended up purchasing all 4 of mine). However, there are great dresses at The Dress Barn, that were extremely reasonable, Burlington Coat Factory had an adorable selection, those little no name dress shops in the mall, and if you are into doing things online, Target has a pretty great Bridal party line.
Another Option- another really good option is if your wedding is not for a while a great thing to do is to check outlet store for sales. They are almost always selling snazzy name brand dresses at great discounted prices. The Jessica McClintock Outlet, and Anne Taylor are great places to make a great find. You might have to keep checking though so give yourself some time.
Make them sparkle- you want your girls to look and feel great. A great way to add pizzaz and shine to your girls gowns... Add some rhinestones, pearl, or any kind of jewels you like. Have a sparkle party. Get all the girls together and have them sew on what they love. This is great way to get together and talk about the wedding and get some insight. Make some goodies and have a cocktail, or mamosas. Really fun bonding experience.
