Another idea if you are feeling a little more crafty is to make your own announcements. These are obviously not as speedy as the other ones, but they are so sweet. So, start off with a natural rough looking white paper, you can either make your own paper if you know how, or you can purchase a natural fiber paper from varias craft stores. If you want to send out a regular card already pre folded and done you can purchase blank front white cards, I usually find mine at a dollar store of some kind. Purchase some color appropriate thread (depending on your wedding theme colors), a piece of remnant fabric with your wedding colors or several if you want more than one look and a sturdy new sewing needle. You'll want to decide on the size of the cards and get appropriate sized envelopes. Fold your paper into sections, crease and tear (depending on size desired) and head to the sewing machine, now don't be scared you don't have to be a master seamstress to create something from a singer. Thread your machine with appropriate thread color and make sure you have a very nice new sturdy needle. If you are using the natural paper you shouldn't have any problem. You are going to edge the flat piece of paper with the sewing machine all the way around. Going all the was off all four ends, so there are little boxes in each corner. Then fold directly in half, however, if you are using homemade paper you might not want to fold it. Just make it into the size you want and edge it, on the front you are going to hand sew on a heart that you cut out of the remnant you purchased  on the inside write details of the wedding. You might even want to all a picture, some dried flowers or confetti for some extra fun and presto... announcements at a fifth the cost. Maybe a little more time consuming but so super easy and fun. A project Moms, Grandma's, and even little siblings can help get involved with. And isn't that what weddings are about? Family and involvement. I give this DIY an A (and not because it's not perfect, it's because it's not as fast and a little more pricey).
